FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

AFTER TWILIGHT: A FILM THAT LEAVES AUDIENCES THINKING ABOUT POLITICS AND RELIGION, WONDERING----IS THIS BECOMING JUST ONE TOPIC NOW?HOUSTON, Texas—December 3, 2004 11:00 am CST Nu-Classic Films has released AFTER TWILIGHT a cautionary tale of the near future delivered in the form of a classic film noir thriller. The film’s central theme warns of the inherent dangers of combining religion with politics and the inevitable corruption of both. “How do you fight a state with God on its side?” becomes the burning issue for consideration within AFTER TWILIGHT.

AFTER TWILIGHT was written and directed by Gary L. Watson (Inside the Octagon) of Roadster Productions, Inc. Watson recently stated “as the religious right claims political victory in the recent re-election of George W. Bush, it is timely to release AFTER TWILIGHT, an independent short film that envisions a future when Texas is ruled by a theocracy. I believe with the increasing influences of the religious right on our government, people should consider the dangers of mixing church and state.” Watson went on to say that he believes many people share his concerns and will clearly see the message (or as he puts it “the questions”) this film raises throughout.

The filming of AFTER TWILIGHT was completed in an amazing seven days, using Houston, Texas for all locations. Photographed using a rich 35mm black and white film, the images recall the classic film noir thrillers of the 1940s. A talented, all-volunteer cast and crew was involved with the production, which was supported, in-part, by the Austin Film Society. The film has been entered in numerous film festivals. The total running time of the film is 34 minutes.

DVD Extras include 24 minutes of additional material; behind the scenes footage and interviews with the lead actors.

Additional information, including easy purchase of the DVD, can be found at the AFTER TWILIGHT website: www.nu-classicfilms.com.
